Anxiety and anxiety-related difficulties
Anxiety is a normal part of being human - but when it becomes intense, persistent, or starts to restrict your life, it can become exhausting. Anxiety can show up as panic attacks, social anxiety, constant worry, or strong fears connected to particular situations or places.
Typical signs: Feeling constantly on edge, racing thoughts, physical symptoms such as a racing heart or dizziness, and difficulty switching off.
Therapy: Understand what triggers your anxiety and what keeps it going. Together, we work on practical ways to handle difficult thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations, and gradually build confidence in facing situations that feel challenging.
Depression is not only about feeling sad. It can also feel like exhaustion, emptiness, losing interest in things you once enjoyed, or simply feeling like everyday life has become much harder.
Typical signs: Low mood, withdrawal, loss of motivation, self-doubt, sleep difficulties, difficulty concentrating, or getting stuck in negative thoughts.
Therapy: Identify what is weighing you down and understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck. We develop strategies to bring back activity, connection, and a sense of confidence and agency in everyday life.
Difficult or overwhelming experiences can continue to affect us long after they have happened. Sometimes the mind and body remain on high alert, even when the danger is over.
Typical signs: Distressing memories, nightmares, feeling easily startled, avoidance of what reminds us about traumatic events (triggers), emotional numbness, inner tension, or difficulties with emotions and relationships.
Therapy: Understand how past experiences are affecting you today and work through painful memories and emotions at a pace that feels manageable. The aim is not to erase what happened, but to help you carry it differently and regain more freedom in your life.
ADHD and ADD in adulthood
ADHD and ADD can look different in adulthood. It is not always obvious from the outside - sometimes the struggle happens mainly in your head.
Typical signs include Difficulty with organisation, time management, procrastination, impulsivity, emotional overwhelm, self-doubt, or feeling exhausted from constantly trying to keep up.
Therapy: Understand how ADHD affects your everyday life, relationships, and work. Together, we find strategies that fit you - while also recognising and building on your strengths.
Obsessive-compulsive disorder
OCD often involves unwanted thoughts, images, or impulses that create anxiety or uncertainty. In response, people may feel driven to repeat certain actions or mental rituals to feel safe again.
Typical signs: Checking, washing, arranging, reassurance-seeking, or mental rituals such as repeated analysing or checking thoughts.
Therapy: Understand the cycle between anxiety, uncertainty, and compulsive behaviours, and develop ways to step out of that cycle and regain more freedom in daily life.
Chronic pain and health-related difficulties
Living with ongoing pain can affect much more than the body. It can influence your mood, relationships, energy levels, and the way you plan your life. This can be particularly challenging with conditions such as fibromyalgia or endometriosis, where pain and exhaustion can become a constant companion.
Typical signs: Persistent pain (often excruciating), fatigue, anxiety, low mood, sleep problems, withdrawal, or feeling that pain is taking up too much space in your life.
Therapy: Create a space where your experiences are taken seriously and understood. Together, we explore ways of coping with pain while making room again for the things that matter to you.
When demands keep piling up and you feel like you always have to keep going, your body and mind may eventually run out of energy.
Typical signs: Feeling overwhelmed, exhaustion, panic attacks, irritability, inner restlessness, sleep problems, or difficulty concentrating.
Therapy: Look at what is draining your energy and what patterns keep you under pressure. Together, we develop healthier ways of managing demands, recognising your needs, and creating more balance.
Low self-esteem often comes with a loud inner critic - the part of you that is quick to point out what is not good enough.
Typical signs: Self-doubt, perfectionism, fear of rejection, comparing yourself to others, or difficulty recognising what you need and speaking up about your needs.
Therapy: Understand where these patterns come from and learn to respond differently to self-critical thoughts. The goal is to build a more compassionate relationship with yourself and develop a steadier sense of self-worth.
